A Storm blew through the Bay Area Saturday and taking with it a couple of NWAC basketball victories. The Chemeketa CC Storm out of Salem swept a doubleheader from Southwestern Oregon CC at Prosper Hall in Coos Bay. The Laker women fell 82-77. SWOCC (2-5, 8-12) plays at Umpqua Wednesday, 5:30 p.m. Southwestern’s men lost 103-94 to Chemeketa. Like the women, the Laker men (3-4, 8-10) head to Winchester Wednesday, 7:30p.m., to play the Riverhawks.
