Good Wednesday morning.  Periods of rain with a high near 50 in the forecast for the South Oregon Coast today.  Winds from the South to Southwest at 5-10 mph.  Steady light rain this evening with lows in the upper 40s and winds light and variable. Showers early Thursday, but tapering off.  In our news, the BLM announces a timber sale.  It’s O&C Timber Land, so 18-counties will split the bounty.  WBC Forum today touches on tourism and what’s ahead in promoting Oregon’s Bay Area this year.  Drop-In Computer Lab at CBPL today.  Marine Board accepting comments on water sport rules for the popular Newberg Pond.  State agencies recognized in Marion County for the EarthWISE Program.  Grants are now available for Oregon’s Historic Theater Program.  Look what has happened with two of the historic theaters in the Bay Area.  It is also happening in other communities and now more funds are available for others. FEMA Youth Preparedness Council participation could lead to Washington D.C. Former Coos Bay resident sentenced to prison for meth and weapons violations.
