For the first time since World War II, organizers in Florence have announced the forgoing of this year’s 113th Rhododendron Festival. The event is normally held during the month of May, but the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus has disrupted public gatherings throughout the state and the nation due to “Social Distancing.” The Rhododendron Festival is Oregon’s second largest Floral Festival outside of Portland’s Rose Festival.
