The Port of Portland plans $20 million in cuts including furloughs, cutbacks in construction projects, and other reductions yet to be identified. The Port runs Portland International Airport, where air travel is down 94 percent due to COVID-19. The Swanson Group will lay off 300 workers at its plywood mill in Glendale and cut the pay of those still working due to COVID-19. Block 15 Distribution opened in Corvallis. The beverage distribution company will operate throughout the Pacific Northwest. Hampton Lumber closed of two of its nine mills due to COVID-19 and will continue to evaluate the others on a week-to-week basis. It has facilities in Warrenton, Tillamook, Banks, and Willamina.
