A 2.8-magnitude earthquake was recorded west to northwest of Coos Bay on Friday, April 24. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a second quake, magnitude 3.5, was also recorded Saturday morning where the two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. The Survey reported its location west o Petrolia, CA, just off Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
