NBHS Principal Letter, May 4

Letter from NBHS Principal Darrell Johnston, April 24, 2020 – Dear North Bend High School Families, Thank you for your work in supporting your children with their distance learning. We have had over 90% engagement from students for each of the last two weeks. We look forward to continued and increased participation. Staff have been creative and resourceful in these times of unique educational opportunities. Next week is National Teacher Appreciation Week. I would encourage you to reach out to those teachers who have made a difference in your life and let them know how they have impacted you. Your children will remember these days. To a great degree, you get to help position their perspective. I hope you have the time to take a break from the many distractions of life to celebrate who your children are and share your love with them. I appreciate the many parents who have reached out to ask how they can help their children with their online learning, and those who have called us to inquire if we are aware of others in need. You make this a great community to be part of. Stay healthy and remember, it is a great day to be a Bulldog! Graduation plans continue to move forward with graduation set for the 5th of June. We are working closely with our county incident commander regarding these plans to ensure a safe celebration in compliance with the protocols that will be in place at that time. Stay tuned for details!
