Transportation Commission to meet virtually, Aug. 13

SALEM — The Oregon Transportation Commission will meet for their formal monthly meeting Thursday, August 13 beginning at 8:30 a.m. The meeting will be held virtually to ensure public access while maintaining social distance in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Agenda items include:  Informational items – An update on actions by U.S. Congress on surface transportation funding. A briefing on programs and funding in the 20204-2027 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program. An update from ODOT’s Office of Social Equity on near term actions the agency can take to advance its equity goals.  Review the OTC/ODOT Strategic Action Plan communications templates and Key Messaging Framework.  Decision items – Approval of allocation of Federal-Aid Highway Program funds for Federal Fiscal Year 2020. Approval of delegations of authority from the OTC to the ODOT director for the Connect Oregon dedicated intermodal facility project agreements. Develop understanding of actions and next steps for tolling in Oregon.
