A disabled 60-foot sailing vessel was successfully towed to Crescent City, CA after it became disabled off the Chetco River at Brookings Friday night, Aug. 14. According to reports, the vessel sustained a broken boom and engine failure about 26-miles off the South Oregon Coast. A USCG 47-foot motor lifeboat from Chetco River responded about 10:30 p.m. and towed the vessel to Del Norte Co. arriving about 11:15 a.m. Saturday.
