Oregon Employment Dept. report – Bend Heroes Foundation, which raises money and awareness for veterans’ issues, and Central Oregon Veterans Outreach, a nonprofit that serves homeless veterans, are partnering to open the Central Oregon Veterans Village in Bend. The village will provide housing, food, and case management services. Mountain Air Massage opened in Joseph. Saltline Hotel opened in Seaside. Dairy Hill, an ice cream shop, opened in West Linn. Mountain Mike’s Pizza will open in Roseburg. Ankeny Hill Nature Center will open at the Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge in Jefferson. It is a joint project between Salem Audubon Society, Friends of the Willamette Valley National Wildlife Refuge Complex, and the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service. It will include Gehlar Hall, which will feature an indoor classroom and covered outdoor learning space.
