On Monday, February 1, 2021 at approximately 12:37 P.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 26 near milepost 17. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Kia, operated by Kenneth Rislow (77) of Astoria, was eastbound when it traveled off the road. Several Citizens performed CPR on Rislow, but he was eventually pronounced deceased. It is believed Rislow had a medical emergency before the Kia traveled off the road.
