A “person of interest” in the death of 28-year old Michael Moore was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 2, at a motel in Coos Bay. According to a news release from Coos Co. District Attorney R. Paul Frasier, officers with the Coos County Community Corrections and Coos Bay Police Dept. located Joshua James Thompson in a room at the Super 8 Motel on North Bayshore Drive. He was taken into custody with incident. Thompson was transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille and is being held on an alleged Parole Violation warrant. “No charges regarding the death of Mr. Moore have been filed at this time.” Moore was killed December 27th following what police described as a possible road rage incident.
