CHM release – The Coos History Museum will be offering its Women’s History Month First Tuesday Talk program on March 2, 2021 at 6:30 PM via Zoom. This month’s topic will focus on the “Everyday Lives of Indigenous Women” and features speakers, Patricia Whereat Phillips (Linguist), Courtney Krossman (Cultural Resources Protection Assistant), and Ashley Russell (Water Protection Specialist and Cultural Assistant), of the Confederated Tribes of the Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians. Together they will explore the rich Indigenous culture of the Coos Bay area, the coastal region, and the women that have helped shape its history. This program is available to all with a suggested donation of $5.00, or pay what you can.
