Three earthquakes were recorded near the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast early Friday morning, April 2. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, one quake was measured at 4.6-magnitude and was located west of Shelter Cove, CA. A second quake was measured at 4.4-magnitude and was located west of Petrolia, CA. The third was a smaller 2.5-magnitude quake also located west of Petrolia, CA. All three were near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
