Anyone interested can provide comment for committee’s next meeting, April 5

ODOT release – SALEM – At the next Public Transportation Advisory Committee meeting on April 5, committee members will review a recommended list of rural transit planning projects for the 2021-23 biennium. The committee will then make funding recommendations to submit to the Oregon Transportation Commission, and the commission will review PTAC’s recommendation and make final funding decisions at its meeting in May. The public is invited to review and comment on these recommended projects before the April 5 meeting. The list comes from an ODOT Selection Committee’s scoring process for the 5304 Statewide Transportation Planning Grant Program. Use this Public Comment Form and submit by April 4. (To view the applications themselves, please contact Melani.Hanna@odot.state.or.us). Background – The Federal Transit Administration provides funding and procedural requirements for multimodal transportation planning in metropolitan areas and states. Such planning needs to be cooperative, continuous and comprehensive, resulting in long-range plans and short-range programs reflecting transportation investment priorities.
