A couple of earthquakes fell within the Cascadia Subduction Zone. The first was Friday, May 7. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.8-magnitude quake was recorded west to southwest of Pistol River, in Curry Co. and a 2.5-magnitude quake was located at the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Saturday, May 8. It was located north to northwest of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
