Fourth of July & Fireworks, June 3

Portion of Coos Bay Mayor Joe Benetti’s weekly newsletter dated May 28, 2021. “Based on the state’s pandemic restrictions, holding the events as normal is not possible and as such, the difficult decision was made to postpone this year’s fireworks display and to cancel the Fourth of July activities in Mingus Park. While our traditional fireworks display has been postponed, I am happy to share that The Mill Casino has partnered with the cities of Coos Bay and North Bend for a Bay Area Fireworks Extravaganza! The Mill’s fireworks display will be moved to the entrance of the Marshfield Channel in Coos Bay (across from the Coos History Museum) where the fireworks can be seen from the Coos Bay Boardwalk and all along Highway 101 on Saturday, July 3rd, beginning at 10 p.m. This will allow us all to spread out, enjoy the show, and celebrate safely.”
