A 2.9-magnitude earthquake shook the southern junction of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Friday, June 25. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. Three new quakes hit the Cascadia Subduction Zone on Sunday. One was a 2.8-magnitude near the junction, west of Petrolia, CA. Another was a 2.7-magnitude on the outer line west of Ferndale, CA, and the third was a 2.6-magnitude west to southwest of Pistol River, Oregon in Curry Co.
