New Executive Order Begins Wednesday, June 30

CHW release – Governor Kate Brown announced last week that Oregon, after more than 15 months battling the pandemic, is nearing the 70% statewide vaccination threshold. As of June 25, more than 2.3 million people in Oregon has received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Governor Brown also signed an executive order to eliminate the risk guidelines by June 30 at the latest. “It means, effectively, Oregon is 100% open for business.”  said Governor Brown. While Oregon will lift all risk level health and safety restrictions requirements there will still be certain settings that masks or physical distancing will be required by CDC guidelines. This will include health care settings, public transport, and correctional facilities. Coos Health & Wellness reporting of Covid information will change going forward. We will not be sending out daily numbers through social media or daily situational status reports. We will provide a weekly update on Tuesdays that will be posted on the website. It will show current covid numbers, and vaccine rates as well as provide information about where you can get a COVID vaccine.
