On Friday, July 9, 2021 at approximately 4:55 P.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 237 near milepost 19B. Preliminary investigation revealed a Pontiac Grand Am, operated by Trevor Powers (19) of LaGrande, was northbound when it left the roadway and crashed.
Powers was transported to Grande Ronde Hospital. Passenger, Conner Seale (20) of Union, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.
