Law enforcement officials claim a large marijuana grow operation recently busted in Curry Co. was worth $15 million dollars on the streets. Six males were taken into custody on Friday, July 30, after a Sheriff’s Deputy confronted two on Peavine Rd., just off Winchuck River Road, carrying bundles of marijuana. A search warrant was issued for the nearby property and nine structure were located as well as mature pot plants ready for harvest. The six arrested were charged with Manufacture of a Controlled Substance and lodged in the county jail at Gold Beach. On Saturday, officers gathered the plants for the destruction. The investigation is continuing.
