The upcoming start of the high school Fall sports season is about a month away, and once again the call is out for those interested in officiating prep sports. The need has grown greater the last several seasons with officials retiring or moving out of the area. The Southwestern Oregon Football Officials Association holds its first meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 6 p.m., in the Community Room at Milner Crest School (Coos Bay School District 9 Offices) at Coos Bay.
