Dead Whale, Aug. 20

A 24-foot long dead Gray Whale washed up on a Central Oregon Coast beach Monday, Aug. 16. The male whale was discovered on rocks at Yachats State Park. Researchers with the West Coast Marine Mammal Stranding Network had responded and were expected to determine the cause of death. An adult Gray Whale can grow up to 50-feet long and weigh 90,000 lbs.
