North Bend and Marshfield boys dominated the Harvest Festival cross-country run at Myrtle Pt. Saturday. Led by junior Aidin Wilson (18:53.0) the Bulldogs three of the top five positions in the 5K race. Gold Beach junior Gianni Altman won the race in 18:48.0. North Bend junior Gavin Schmidt was third (19:32.0), while Reedsport freshman Clayton Wilson broke up the Bay Area teams by taking fourth (20:00.0). Sophomore Nathaniel Folsom (20:02.2) was fifth for North Bend. Marshfield runners took the next four positions led by senior Jacob Clavert (20:38.0), sophomore Corbin Reeves (20:29.0), freshman Elijan Cellura (20:29.3), and junior Jack Waddington (20:39.6). North Bend’ fourth and fifth runners placed 11th & 12th, junior Benjamin Swank (21:00.0), and junior Julian Hernandez. Marshfield’s fifth runner was Gavin Stovall, 16th (21:39.0). Marshfield senior Bailey Wallack was second in the girls race in 22:10.4. Myrtle Pt.’s Sarah Nicholson was first (22:10). North Bend junior Sara Slade was third (22:12), while freshman Emma Slade took 6th (23:42), sophomore Abby Woodruff 7th (24:27), freshman Clara Messner 8th (25:08) and sophomore Maryam Qadir 10th (26:08). Marshfield junior Sara Weatherly placed 9th (26:07), junior Elizabeth Delgado 11th (26:11), and sophomore Jenna Erickson 22nd (20:53). North Bend won both team races, Marshfield’s boys were second. North Bend is scheduled to run at the Woahink Lake XC Invitational, Florence, Saturday, Oct. 2. Marshfield is scheduled to next run at the Crater Twilight, Friday, Oct. 8.
