Marshfield moved into the 4A semi-finals of the OSAA State Football Championships with a 42-7 win over visiting Henley Friday in Pete Susick Stadium at Coos Bay. The win advances the Pirates (11-0) to the championship semi-round and a second date with Mazama (9-2) this season, Saturday, noon, at Grants Pass HS. The Vikings beat Banks 21-14 Saturday at Beaverton HS to advance to the Final Four. Marshfield opened the season with a 35-20 win at home over Mazama. The Vikings won the Showcase Championship in the Spring over Marist Catholic. The Spartans are also in the Final Four after beating Cascade 62-35 at Scio HS Friday. Marist Catholic (9-2) will play Estacada (11-0) Saturday, 5 p.m., at McMinnville in the other 4A semi-final. The Rangers beat La Grande 44-22 at Sandy Union HS, Friday. Siuslaw advanced to the 3A semi-finals with a 28-23 win over Cascade Christian of Medford. The Vikings (10-0) will play La Pine (7-3) Saturday, 1 p.m., Cottage Grove HS. Siuslaw beat La Pine 34-26 in a league game at Florence earlier this season. Coquille is in the 2A semis after beating Jefferson 48-8. The Red Devils (10-1) will face top-ranked Heppner (11-0) Saturday, noon, at McMinnville. Bandon lost its quarter-final game to Lakeview 27-26. Myrtle Pt. lost a 1A quarter-final at Powder Valley 36-0.
