December Programs – The library is back to regular hours! Monday – Friday 10 am – 6 pm, Saturday 10 am – 1 pm; Phone service: Monday – Friday 10 am – 6 pm, Saturday 10 am – 1 pm. Masks are still required and all programs are still virtual. Holds will no longer be placed in the lobby. For Children: Take and Make Kits – SNOW, SNOW, SNOW, This month’s theme is Snow, Snow, Snow. Kits are available for children school age (5-12) and preschool (3-4). Each kit contains crafts, book suggestions, coloring pages, recipes, and more! Stop by the library to pick one up. Supplies are limited. Gingerbread House Decorating – The North Bend Public Library will provide gingerbread houses to take home and decorate! Pick up your gingerbread house kit at the library on December 11 between the hours of 10 am to 1 pm. Limit one house per child. First come first served. Supplies are limited. This is an activity for children 12 and under. We’d like to share your creations! Little Bites – Every Tuesday, Miss Laura presents songs, rhymes, and flannel stories for children 6 or under. (But you can watch them, too!), On NBPL’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. Holiday Lights Scavenger Hunt – Fun for families! How many can you find? During the week of December 13 through 18, stop by the library to pick up a game board and enjoy the lights! For Adults: DIY Bodycare – Wednesday, December 8 at 11 am, Scrub goodbye to skin care chemicals and learn fun, easy do-it-yourself body care using oils, foods and everyday ingredients at home with Cheryl O’Dell of Natural Grocers. Holiday Open House – Saturday, December 11, 10 am – 1 pm, Join us as we celebrate the season. Sing along as the Little Match Girls play holiday tunes, and go home with a little cider and chocolate. Christmas Cacti – Blooms in December bring a hope for the return of warmer days. A Christmas cactus will cheer you when it rains and makes a lovely gift. We are giving them away from December 6-23. First come, first served, one per person. Supplies limited.
