Attend our webinar and learn about Oregon’s share of the federal infrastructure bill and how you can help, Dec. 7

ODOT release – The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) includes a lot of money for transportation—more than half a trillion dollars. What does it mean for Oregon? Find out by attending a webinar on December 7, from 9-10:30 a.m. where ODOT will walk through the additional $1.2 billion the IIJA will invest in Oregon’s transportation system. You will also have the opportunity to give your input on how the Oregon Transportation Commission (OTC) should spend the additional funding to further Oregon’s transportation goals. We’ll spend the first half of the webinar walking through the IIJA and answering questions and we’ll spend the second half taking public input on two key questions: Given the investments already made in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program and the federal infrastructure bill, how should the OTC allocate flexible funding to best advance the OTC/ODOT Strategic Action Plan and the state’s transportation goals? What are the specific priorities for investment of funds in public and active transportation? When: Tuesday, December 7, 9-10:30 a.m. Zoom Meeting Link: Launch Meeting – Zoom Phone: (253) 215-8782, Webinar ID: 832 9042 8672 To sign up to provide public comment at the webinar, email chloe.craft@odot.state.or.us. If you can’t make the webinar or just want to submit a written comment, go to www.oregon.gov/odot/Get-Involved/Pages/OTC-Comments.aspx at any time to make your voice heard. Comments at the webinar and those submitted online will be shared with the Oregon Transportation Commission and ODOT senior leaders as we work through how to invest these resources to benefit Oregon’s communities and economy. We will record the webinar and post it on our Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act 2021 website.
