City Administrator Report, Jan. 11, 2021 – We have applied for federal assistance to firefighters grant to replace all our air packs. Our current air packs were purchased in 2005. If we are successful, the City will be responsible for 5% of the $334,000 price. This application process has been a great group effort involving our Firefighter’s Union, Fire Administration, Finance Department, and our City Administrator. This grant is very extensive but, the team approach spread out the work. Now we are hoping to receive a positive response. We were successful with our grant application through the Coquille Tribal Fund. We will receive $2000 to go toward a battery-operated industrial exhaust fan. The total cost of the project is $3750. We greatly appreciate the support from the Coquille Tribal Fund.
