Marshfield’s basketball teams swept Elmira on the road Tuesday in 4A District 4 league play. The Pirate boys won 68-49 to improve to 4-0 in league and 15-2 overall. The Lady Pirates won 56-20 to improve to 2-0 in league and 12-3 overall. Marshfield ends the first-half of league play Friday by hosting Junction City.

North Bend’s basketball teams dropped two 5A Midwestern League basketball games on the road Tuesday at Willamette in West Eugene. The Bulldog girls (2-4, 8-7) lost 48-20 and the boys (0-7, 2-14) lost 71-36. Both teams are scheduled to play at Ashland Friday.
