Marshfield’s boys’ basketball team won a league game Friday and then lost on a long road trip Saturday at Camas, WA. The Pirates downed Cottage Grove 68-64 for a 4A District 4 win at home Friday, but lost to the Papermakers at Camas Saturday 92-52. Marshfield (5-1, 17-4) returns to league play with a doubleheader scheduled with the girls at Siuslaw, Florence Tuesday.

Marshfield’s girls beat visiting Cottage Grove 40-26 Friday in a 4A District 4 league game at the Pirate Palace. The Pirates (4-2, 14-6) are currently third behind Junction City (6-0, 16-4) and Marist Catholic (5-1, 12-5). Marshfield is scheduled to play at Siuslaw on Tuesday.

North Bend’s girls got a split in 5A Midwestern League basketball over the weekend. The Bulldogs beat visiting Ashland Friday 48-40, but fell 40-21 at Churchill on Saturday. North Bend (4-6, 10-9) is scheduled to host North Eugene on Tuesday.
