Marshfield’s basketball team fell one-notch on the weekly OSAA/Coaches 4A Poll. The Pirates (17-4) are now ranked third behind Junction City (17-2) and Cascade (13-3). Brookings-Harbor (11-5) is No. 9 in the 3A Poll, and Bandon (17-5) is No. 8 in the 2A Poll.

Marshfield girls fell out of the weekly OSAA/Coach’s 4A Basketball Poll. The Lady Pirates (14-6) were No. 9. Philomath (13-2) leads the Poll. League foes Junction City (16-4) is No. 3 and Marist Catholic (12-5) is No. 10. Bandon (18-3) is No. 6 in the 2A Poll, and Coquille (13-3) is No. 9.

Marshfield’s girls defeated Siuslaw 44-12 in a 4A District 4 basketball game at Florence Tuesday. The Lady Pirates (5-2, 15-6) are tied for second place with three games to go. Next up is Marist Catholic (5-2, 12-6) at Coos Bay Friday.

North Bend’s girls turned North Eugene back 34-25 in a 5A Midwestern League home game Tuesday. The Bulldogs (5-6, 11-9) are scheduled to host Eagle Pt. Friday. North Bend’s boys lost 50-19. The Bulldogs (0-11, 2-18) host Eagle Pt. Friday.
