TEMPE, Ariz. – Trey Munoz won his first Pac-12 Conference individual title and Oregon State qualified eight wrestlers at Sunday’s Pac-12 Championships Sunday at Desert Financial Arena. Overall, Oregon State placed second as a team, just half a point behind Pac-12 champion Arizona State, which finished with 115 points. Munoz won his first Pac-12 crown at 184 points thanks to a pair of pins. He won the title over Cal Poly’s Bernie Truax in 1:14. Munoz advanced to the semifinals thanks to a bye in the first round, and moved to the finals match with a pin over CSU Bakersfield’s Jacob Hansen in 2:43. Overall, the Beavers are slated to send eight to the NCAA Championships March 18-20. That’s the most entrants for Oregon State since 2012 in Des Moines.

Oregon’s men dropped both Pac-12 games in the State of Washington. On Thursday the Ducks lost at Washington 78-67 in Seattle, and then fell at Washington State Saturday 94-74 in Pullman, WA. Oregon (11-9, 18-13) opens the Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas Wednesday, 2:30 p.m., against Oregon State on the Pac-12 Networks. Oregon State had the same results in the Evergreen State. The Beavers lost at Washington State 71-67 Thursday and then dropped a 78-67 end of the season game to Washington in Seattle Saturday. The Beavers (1-19, 3-27) will take on the Ducks for the third time this season. Oregon won the first two meetings.

Utah dropped Oregon’s women from the Pac-12 Basketball Tournament in Las Vegas 80-73 Friday. Oregon State’s women lost their opening game to Stanford, Thursday 57-44. The Ducks (20-11) and Beavers will now have to wait to see if they get an invite to the NCAA Tournament.

Oregon’s softball team won four games at the Carolina Classic, Chapel Hill, NC over the weekend. The Ducks beat Penn State 12-4, Connecticut 9-1, North Carolina 9-1 & Connecticut 9-3. Oregon (16-3) is scheduled to host Portland State Friday, 4p, as part of the Oregon/Oregon State Tournament in Eugene. Oregon State’s softball team won all five games at the Amy S. Harrison Classic, Riverside, CA. On Friday, OSU dropped Sacred Heart 8-0 & UC Riverside 9-1. Saturday it was wins over CSUN 5-0 & California Baptist 7-0. The Beavers wrapped it up Sunday with a 3-1 win over North Dakota State. Oregon State (17-3) is scheduled to host Robert Morris (PA) on Monday for two games beginning at 2p in Corvallis.

Oregon’s baseball team split a four-game series with visiting UC Santa Barbara this past weekend at PK Park in Eugene. The Ducks won the firs two games, Friday 3-2 and Saturday 4-3. UCSB won the nightcap Saturday 5-4 and took Sunday’s game 7-5. Oregon is scheduled to host Portland on Tuesday, 4 p.m., Pac-12 Insider. Oregon State won two-out-of-three from visiting UC Irvine at Goss Stadium, Corvallis. The Beavers won Friday 7-2 & Saturday 9-5, before dropping a 3-2 (10) on Sunday. OSU (9-1) is scheduled to play at Washington State Friday, Saturday & Sunday, in Pullman, WA
