Oregon’s women lost 73-70 in double overtime to Belmont Saturday in the first round of the NCAA Basketball Tournament a Knoxville, TN. The Ducks end the season with a 20-12 record.

OSU release – CORVALLIS – The Oregon State women’s basketball team advanced to the final 16 of the WNIT with a 74-56 win over Portland Sunday afternoon at Gill Coliseum, Corvallis. “This was a really fun game with a good energy in the crowd,” said Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck. “Portland is a very good team, and very well coached – we knew this was going to be a 40-minute fight. Our team did a very good job of executing against them. We did a great job of coming in prepared, and then made the plays down the stretch to separate. This was a really good win, and I’m really proud of this group.” With the victory, the Beavers (16-13) will now host New Mexico on Thursday in the third round of the WNIT.

Oregon’s softball team won two-out-of-three Pac-12 games from Utah at Salt Lake City. The Utes won Friday 5-2, the Ducks won Saturday 8-2 & Sunday 7-6. Oregon (2-1, 21-4) is scheduled to play Brigham Young, at Provo, Utah, Monday, 3 p.m. on BYUTV Digital. Oregon State dropped all three games at Arizona State in Tempe, AZ. On Friday, ASU won 5-3, Saturday, 9-1 & Sunday 9-6. The Beavers area scheduled to play Grand Canyon on Monday, 2 p.m., Phoenix, AZ on ESPN+.

Oregon’s men were ousted from the NIT Basketball Tournament with a 75-60 loss to Texas A&M Saturday at College Station, TX. The Ducks end the season with a 20-15 record.

Oregon swept visiting Utah in a Pac-12 baseball series at PK Park in Eugene. Oregon won Friday 11-4, Saturday 8-6, & Sunday 7-2. The Ducks (5-1, 13-6) are scheduled to play at Gonzaga Tuesday, 3 p.m., televised on SWX. Oregon State took two-out-of-three from visiting Arizona State at Goss Stadium, Corvallis. The Beavers won Friday 21-0, Saturday 12-2, but fell 3-1 Sunday to the Sun Devils. OSU (4-2, 14-4) is scheduled to host Seattle Wednesday, 3:05 p.m.., Oregon State Live Stream.

Former North Bend track athlete Chelsea Howard, now competing for Oregon State as a sophomore, helped OSU’s women win the OSU PNW Invite Saturday at Corvallis. Howard took first in the Long Jump (17-5), 8th in the 100 (12.43); and, ran the opening leg on the 4X100 Relay that placed second (49.87). The Beavers go to the Willamette Invite on March 26.
