Quakes, May 3

A 2.7-magnitude earthquake was recorded near the southern junction of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west of Ferndale, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. A little further north, a 2.5-magnitude quake was recorded on land south to southeast of Weitchpec, CA.
