Several earthquakes were recorded at the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Wednesday, May 4. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the largest was a 4.2-magnitude quake on the outer fault line west of Ferndale, CA. A second quake measured 2.5 and was located at the junction, west to northwest of Petrolia, CA, and the third was a 2.5-magnitude on land, southeast o Blue Lake, CA all near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
