City of Coos Bay release – The City of Coos Bay has partnered with Agri Tech Design to perform an invasive species abatement effort at Mingus Park Pond. On Tuesday, June 14, 2022, City staff will begin to lower pond levels to facilitate the application of an approved aquatic herbicide on Friday, June 17, 2022. Pond water levels will remain low for approximately 24 hours to allow the chemicals to effectively treat the invasive plant species known as parrot-feather.
