Update given to the North Bend City Council from City Administrator David Milliron, Sept. 13, 2022 – Municipal Pool (Status Updates: https://bit.ly/3qErrSR) Acacia Painting of Coos Bay is busy painting the North Bend Municipal Pool. Last week, the company swept, chemically cleaned, and pressure-washed the pool. This week, they are preparing to paint the pool. The cost is $13,750 to paint some 11,000 square feet of surface area. The pool is undergoing approximately $1,365,000 in capital improvements. Most items are on schedule for delivery by Sept. 16, 2022. The tile work is almost complete, and the boiler system will be finished by the end of next week—many minor elements (e.g., hair filter, new door, etc., have all been delivered). The following items are not on schedule due to excessive supply chain issues, and staff is looking into alternative solutions and options. West Coast Contractors has been trying to secure delivery dates since June 2022, but on Friday was advised of the following: ▪ Filter System: the guaranteed delivery date is Feb. 3, 2023; ▪ Pump VFD: the guaranteed delivery date is Feb. 13, 2023; ▪ Pump System: the guaranteed delivery date is Apr. 26, 2023.
