North Bend’s volleyball team beat Cottage Grove 3-1 on the road Monday in a 4A District 4 match. The Bulldogs (5-2, 11-6) have a half-game lead on third-place Marist Catholic, which swept Junction City Monday 3-0. Marshfield (6-0, 14-3) had the night off. North Bend will next compete in the Marshfield Tournament Saturday. Marshfield plays at Marist Catholic Wednesday.

It’s prep soccer doubleheaders at both North Bend and Marshfield tonight. The Bulldogs boys host Junction City at 4 p.m., followed by the girl’s match at 6 p.m. at Vic Adams Field. Marshfield will host Cottage Grove with the Pirate boys taking on the Lions at 5:30 p.m., followed by the girl’s match at 7:30 p.m. at Pete Susick Stadium, Coos Bay.
