North Bend’s girls bettered visiting Junction City 2-1 in a 4A District 4 prep soccer match at Vic Adams Field Tuesday. The Lady Bulldogs (2-2-2, 4-5-2) are in third place with two matches remaining at Cottage Grove Thursday and at Marshfield on Thursday, Oct. 20 to end the regular season. No score on the Cottage Grove at Marshfield match Tuesday. Marshfield’s boys downed visiting Cottage Grove 3-1 Tuesday at Pete Susick Stadium, Coos Bay. North Bend’s boys fell at home to Junction City 2-1. The Pirates (3-0-3, 3-5-3) are in second place with two matches remaining in the regular season, at league leader Marist Catholic Tuesday, Oct. 18, and home to North Bend on Thursday, Oct. 20. The Bulldogs (0-6, 1-9-1) are scheduled to play at Cottage Grove Thursday, Oct. 13.
