Oregon State’s Kaylee Mitchell won the individual title at the NCAA West Regional Cross-Country Championships Friday, at University Park, WA. The junior ran 19:19.2 over the 6K course to claim first-place by two-seconds over Laura Pellicoro, a sophomore from Portland. Oregon’s women were fourth (96) in the team race, while Stanford took the title with 76-points. Oregon State tied for fourth with CBU, both with 150-points, but the Beavers took the spot by winning the tie-breaker between the two schools. Sailor Hutton, former prep runner out of Bandon, now a junior at Arizona, was 95th (20:50.4). Stanford also took the men’s team title with 45-points. Gonzaga second (92), Washington (105) and Oregon fourth (141). Washington’s Brian Fay was first (28:17.2) over the 8K course, while Oregon’s Aaron Bienenfeld took second (28:19.5). The NCAA Championships are set for Saturday, Nov. 19, 7:20 a.m., Stillwater, OK.

Oregon’s volleyball team won 3-1 at Utah, Salt Lake City, Sunday, in a Pac-12 match. The Ducks (13-3, 19-5) are scheduled to host UCLA, Friday, 7 p.m., Matthew Knight Arena, Eugene, Pac-12 Oregon. Oregon State fell at Colorado Saturday, 3-0. The Beavers (2-14, 7-19) are scheduled to host USC, Friday, 6 p.m., Gill Coliseum, Corvallis, Pac-12 Insider.
