NBPL release – Trauma-informed Yoga: Every Tuesday in January starting at 4:30 PM – Trauma-informed Yoga, instructed by Iowa, is a slow-paced, inclusive yoga practice. The intention of the practice is to create a safe and supportive space where participants can feel safe in their bodies and learn strategies to reduce anxiety. Visit our Website for More Info! Upcoming Children’s Activities: Children’s Storytime Yoga – Every Friday at 3:30 PM – Yoga storytime for ages 4 through 8 in the Library Meeting Room. A waiver must be filled out by a caregiver for child participation. Recurring Children’s Programs at NBPL: Preschool Storytime (ages 2-5) – Each Tuesday at 10:30 AM, Stories, singing, and craft time; Baby Play (under 2 years old) – Each Thursday at 10:30 AM, Read, sing, and play. Recurring Adult Programs at NBPL: Yarn & Other Fibers, January 5 at 4:00 PM – Drop-in crafting hour that meets the 1st Thursday of the month online or in person. A Novel Idea Book Club, January 12 at 2:00 PM – Book club that meets the second Thursday of the month. This month they will be discussing A Street Cat Named Bob by James Bowen. Unlimited Book Club, January 19 at 6:00 PM – Book Club is hosted by the North Bend Public Library and the Coos Bay Library. This month’s book is This is How it Always Is: A Novel by Laurie Frankel. UnBook Club, January 26 at 1:00 PM – Book club without assigned reading that meets the fourth Thursday of the month. Members discuss their latest reads. Fourth Saturday Sing-along, January 28 at 11:00 AM – Sing-along is a collaboration with South Coast Folk Society that meets the fourth Saturday of the month in the library’s Meeting Room.
