Prep BBXB Polls
Gold Beach is the only boys’ basketball team from the South Coast listed in this week’s OSAA/Coach’s Prep Polls. The Panthers (8-3) are tied with Heppner (10-2) for No. 8. Salem Academy (6-3) holds down the top spot.
Prep Crossover Tournament
The matchups are all set for this year’s Crossover Basketball Tournament between the boys & girls prep basketball teams from District 4 and the Skyline Conference. Marshfield’s girls will go to Marist Catholic, Eugene, Friday to play Klamath Union at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the Lady Pirates will play Henley at 2 p.m. North Bend’s girls will be at Junction City Friday and play Phoenix at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the Bulldogs will play Mazama at Marist Catholic at 12:30 p.m. The boy’s tournament has North Bend playing Mazama, Friday, 4:30 p.m. at Henley (Klamath Falls). Marshfield will play Klamath Union Friday, 7:30 p.m., at KU. Saturday, the Pirates will play Phoenix at Henley, 2 p.m., while North Bend gets Klamath Union, 12:30 p.m., at KU. The matchups are based on the latest 4A OSAA rankings.
