Gold Beach remains as the lone South Coast prep boys’ basketball team in the OSAA/Coach’s Weekly Basketball Poll. The Panthers (21-4) are tied for sixth along with Kennedy (18-5) at No. 6 in the 2A Poll. Salem Academy (18-5) leads the list. The OSAA 3A Boy’s State Championship is in the Bay Area March 2-4. The top teams vying to make it to “The Bay,” are No. 1 De La Salle North Catholic (21-3); No. 2 Dayton (23-1); No. 3 Westside Christian (22-3); No. 4 Cascade Christian (21-4); No. 5 Banks (20-3; No. 5 Oregon Episcopal (17-6); No. 7 Creswell (18-4); No. 8 Burns (19-4); and, No. 10 Santiam Christian (16-9).
