Both Marshfield and North Bend will have wrestlers at the OSAA State 4A Championships beginning Thursday, Memorial Coliseum, Portland. You can follow the matches on the www.osaa.org website. UPDATE: OSAA release – Wed. 2/22 10:00pm – Due to inclement weather and city / county wide state of emergencies, the Veterans Memorial Coliseum on the Rose Quarter Campus has informed us that their campus is closed on Thursday, February 23. Marshfield’s girls will play Astoria Saturday, 2 p.m. at North Eugene HS in a non-playoff game. Marshfield’s boys have a play-in playoff game at La Grande, Saturday, 3 p.m. North Bend’s boys play at Madras, Friday, 5 p.m.

Gold Beach is the only South Coast prep boys’ basketball team in the final OSAA/Coaches Weekly Poll. The Panthers (22-5) are No. 8 in the 2A Poll. The OSAA 3A Boys Basketball Tournament will be held March 2-4 in Coos Bay. The top 3A teams are: No. 1 De La Salle North Catholic (22-3); No. 2 Cascade Christian (23-4); No. 3 Dayton (24-1); Westside Christian (24-4); No. 5 Banks (21-3); No. 6 Creswell (19-4); No. 7 Oregon Episcopal (18-7); No. 8 Burns (19-5); No. 9 Pleasant Hill (20-5); and, No. 10 Vale (15-11).
