Agency staff at the Marine Board are convening a second meeting of the Abandoned and Derelict Commercial Vessel Task Force for the Oregon coast. This meeting will be held in Newport on April 26, from 11 am to 3 pm at the Hatfield Marine Science Center, 2030 SE Marine Science Drive. This meeting is open to the public, however; public comments will not be accepted. This is an information-sharing meeting with staff from other state Abandoned and Derelict Vessel removal programs to learn about various prevention, funding, and removal techniques implemented in other regions. Future meetings will be held in areas that are impacted by abandoned and derelict vessels, and in locations close to participating members.
