South Coos lost its first American Legion baseball game of the Summer Season Friday 14-3 at Newport. Mook Co-Chilton Peck, “We played ok. Their lineup had great approaches at the plate and hit the ball. It was a good experience for them to see baseball at another level. South Coos (8-1) host Roseburg Monday, 3 & 5 p.m. at MHS.
