In the first of two head-to-head meetings between the Bay Area’s two American Legion baseball teams, North Coos Waterfront swept a doubleheader from South Coos at Clyde Allen Field in North Bend Monday, June 17. The Waterfront, defending Area 4 North champions, won 11-1 & 11-3 to improve to 4-0 and South Coos falls to 2-3. South Coos is at Roseburg Pepsi, Legion Field, Roseburg, Thursday and hosts Grants Pass on Saturday at MHS. North Coos is scheduled to play at Churchill in Eugene on Wednesday, 5 p.m.
