Oregon State Police (OSP) is investigating a confirmed fatal traffic crash that occurred Tuesday evening on Highway 20 near Eddyville. This release contains preliminary information which will be updated Wednesday when available. Preliminary information indicates on May 20, 2014 at approximately 8:00 p.m., a head-on collision occurred on Highway 20 near milepost 23 involving a pickup and a commercial truck. The pickup’s driver was confirmed deceased upon arrival of emergency responders. OSP troopers from the Newport Area Command office are leading the investigation. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, local fire personnel and ODOT also responded to the scene. The highway has reported blocked.
