News releasse from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On January 1, 2015, at about 0130 hours, Deputies were dispatched to 220 W Birch St in Powers, for a report of a dispute. It was reported the suspect, Richard LeDou, assaulted his wife, Lynda Galbrath, and threatened her with a gun. Deputies arrived and made contact with Galbrath. Deputies observed bruising to Galbrath’s right eye and left hand. LeDou also ripped out hair from Galbrath’s head. Galbrath told Deputies after the assault, LeDou retrieved a .22LR rifle from the bedroom and threatened to shoot Galbrath. Deputies located LeDou sleeping in his bed. LeDou refused to cooperate with Deputies and was arrested for Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Assault IV Domestic and Menacing Domestic. LeDou was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and lodged for the above listed charges.
