News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On September 22, 2014, at approximately 1703 hours, Coos County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to an active assault which was taking place at 97684 Hudson Creek Lane, in the Fairview area of Coquille, Coos County, Oregon, the home of Jeffrey Martindale and Rossi Martindale. It was reported that the disturbance was over a vehicle being repossessed civilly by one of the vehicle’s co-owners. It was reported that there were now five individuals in a fight and one person had been choked to unconscious. The altercation was now elevating to the point where involved parties had armed themselves with a baseball bat and an AK-47 rifle. Deputies and Coquille Police Department Officers arrived on scene around 1715 hours and contacted the involved individuals, identifying them as Kimberly Martindale, Jack Jarrett, Nathaniel Jarrett, Jeffrey Martindale and Rossi Martindale. Based on the fact that they were the primary aggressors, they trespassed onto his property without his permission, they entered the attached covered carport with the intent to commit a crime, and they provoked two distinctly separate assaults where all three of them actively participated in: Deputies arrested Kimberly Martindale, Jack Jarrett and Nathaniel Jarrett for ORS 164.245 – Criminal Trespass II, ORS 164.215 – Burglary II, and two counts of ORS 163.165 – Assault III. In regards to Kimberly Martindale, both of the Assault III charges are classified as Domestic Violence. For Nathaniel Jarrett, he was also charged with ORS 166.065 – Harassment. And for Jack Jarrett, he was charged with ORS 163.187 – Strangulation and ORS 166.065 – Harassment as well. All three suspects were arrested at about 1750 hours, and they were transported to the Coos County Jail without incident, where they were held on the following bail amounts: Kimberly Martindale – $77,500, Jack Jarrett – $92,500, and Nathaniel Jarrett –$87,500.
