Information to be released: On January 24th, 2023, at 8:33 p.m. Deputy Adam Burgo was dispatched by the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center to 65375 Russell Road just north of North Bend, Oregon to a report of a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival Deputy Burgo learned the female victim had called 911to report she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. During the investigation it was learned the victim had sustained physical injuries and the suspect (Boyfriend) had fled from the residence prior to the Deputy’s arrival. Probable Cause was immediately issued for the boyfriend identified as, Jeffrey W. Sanders 67 years of age of North Bend. Deputy Burgo searched the area for much of the evening on January 24th 2023, however he was unable to locate Mr. Sanders. Through the course of his investigation Deputy Burgo had been able to make phone contact with Mr. Sanders and advised him of the probable cause for his arrest. Mr. Sanders eventually agreed to meet with Deputy Burgo, however he did not show up. On January 26, 2023 around 01:30 a.m. Deputy Burgo was able to located Mr. Sanders in the city of Coos Bay where he was arrested on the charge of Assault IV Domestic without incident. The criminal charge is from Mr. Sanders actions on January 24th, 2023 mentioned above. Mr. Sanders was transported to the Coos County Jail where he is being held pending court proceedings.
